A subsequent thorough inspection found no explosive devices.\nAviation agencies reported that the crew of this flight received the bomb threat as the aircraft was approaching Romanian airspace, prompting the Bulgarian Air Force to scramble MiG-29 fighter jets to intervene.\n\nThe incident occurred less than three weeks after an incident in which a co-pilot on a Flydubai flight heading to Israel attacked the pilot with a hand axe, apparently intending to crash the aircraft and cause an explosion.
