The Supreme Council of the Magistracy announced disciplinary action, dismissals and promotions involving judicial personnel.

Twenty-two judges and three deputy prosecutors were disciplined or dismissed by the disciplinary council of the Supreme Council of the Magistracy after being found to have committed errors in carrying out their duties. The decisions were made at the council's 39th session at the Royal Palace on November 17, presided over by the King in his capacity as council president. Disciplinary measures included reprimands, compulsory transfers and suspension from duties.
Regarding dismissals, one prosecutor was removed from the prosecutorial service, along with two judges. Two other deputy prosecutors voluntarily requested suspension from work. After identifying misconduct and imposing discipline, the council also identified 170 judges, prosecutors and deputy prosecutors with records of service to the public for promotion according to seniority and qualification levels. The council holds a session annually to review, decide and consult on matters concerning judges, prosecutors and deputy prosecutors throughout Cambodia.
