It had been placed in Group B with Indonesia, Myanmar and the Philippines. Its withdrawal left three teams in the group, so no new draw was needed.\n\nThe report said it was unclear whether Cambodia would withdraw from further sports. Its delegation would now compete in twelve: swimming, athletics, esports, fencing, gymnastics, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, taekwondo, equestrian, jet skiing, triathlon and cage football.\n\nThailand’s Thairath also reported that Cambodia originally announced participation in 23 sports but had recently written to Southeast Asian Games Federation President Chaiyaphak Siriwat confirming withdrawal from some events.\n\nThairath added that most of the withdrawn sports were team events, citing “concern for the safety of athletes and officials” and a wish to minimise risks while competing in Thailand.","contentScope":"full","proof":{"publishedSourceRevision":"1","publishedWorkingVersionId":"16505","languageVersionId":"14066","visibilityVersion":"2","versionToken":"a1.0ogtTCadEZqsQaUSGr8EDExI2J2iROqozvUV8vWtZ4Y"},"availableLocales":["zh","en","km"],"attributes":{"sourceLocale":"zh","translationKind":"machine","nodeId":"172","authorText":"","sourceName":"KPS99TV"},"references":[],"links":[],"publishedAt":"2025-11-28T03:08:03Z"}
