Keeping travel restrictions in place is no solution

Cambodia’s ambassador to South Korea, 拉塔纳, met South Korean lawmaker Hong Keewon yesterday and proposed easing travel restrictions on Cambodia.

According to a statement from the Cambodian embassy in South Korea, the ambassador praised Hong’s two visits to Cambodia and thanked him for efforts to clarify the country’s situation through parliamentary statements and media interviews.

Hong acknowledged the emotional impact on South Korean citizens of recent incidents involving young South Koreans, while stressing the importance of understanding the facts of the cases. He praised Cambodia’s efforts to ensure visitor safety and noted its government’s willingness to cooperate in addressing the concerns.
