Cambodia’s Agriculture Ministry says the proposed trade could expand markets for farmers’ paddy.","body":"Philippine companies and the Cambodia Rice Federation are preparing detailed negotiations on the possibility of exports and ways to expedite rice orders from Cambodia. The Philippines would gain a source of high-quality rice, while Cambodia would gain another international market.\nThis was stated during a working meeting on December 3, 2025, between Cambodia’s Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Dith Tina and a Philippine business delegation led by Joseph Rudolf Lo, head and chief executive of Food Terminal Incorporated. The meeting involved close cooperation and direct coordination by the agriculture ministries of Cambodia and the Philippines. Both sides examined the possibility of purchasing rice directly from Cambodia to supply the Philippine market, opening an additional market for Cambodian farmers’ rice.\nCambodia’s Agriculture Ministry said on Facebook that, to make the work more effective, it had facilitated a direct meeting between the Philippine business delegation and the Cambodia Rice Federation for detailed negotiations on export possibilities and to help the purchases materialise soon.\nThe ministry added that the new agricultural trade connection would benefit both countries. The Philippines would secure a source of high-quality rice, while Cambodia would gain another international market. Opening this rice market would also allow the ministry’s partner rice mills to purchase larger quantities of paddy from farmers across a wider area.\nBy: ង៉ែត ពិសាន្ត","contentScope":"full","proof":{"publishedSourceRevision":"1","publishedWorkingVersionId":"16433","languageVersionId":"13850","visibilityVersion":"2","versionToken":"a1.viZkY33xYLPyFYT-NbIroIb2ynEALwnTM1hVkURcK9M"},"availableLocales":["zh","en","km"],"attributes":{"sourceLocale":"km","translationKind":"machine","nodeId":"12","authorText":"","sourceName":"KPS99TV"},"references":[],"links":[],"publishedAt":"2025-12-04T07:48:21Z"}
