The district said the volume of water in the Pursat River would be reduced to the greatest extent to implement the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology’s second-phase water-resources management project using integrated measures. The project involves construction of a structure across the Pursat River, with assistance and financing from the Asian Development Bank, and is due to start in early 2026.\nThe Kandieng district administration urged farmers to pay attention to storing and managing water in lakes, community ponds, household ponds and other water sources in each community, village and commune for use during the coming dry season. It also warned that farmers who continued with a second dry-season rice crop would inevitably face irrigation-water shortages, particularly shortages of water for livestock and daily living.\nBy: ង៉ែត ពិសាន្ត","contentScope":"full","proof":{"publishedSourceRevision":"1","publishedWorkingVersionId":"16431","languageVersionId":"13844","visibilityVersion":"2","versionToken":"a1.cXHGEjG9iA_CrVFz_DxeDbRc_eEz7pKXqsQOq3gFKSE"},"availableLocales":["zh","en","km"],"attributes":{"sourceLocale":"km","translationKind":"machine","nodeId":"12","authorText":"","sourceName":"KPS99TV"},"references":[],"links":[],"publishedAt":"2025-12-05T06:42:25Z"}
