Battambang’s education department authorised all educational institutions in Banan district to suspend classes from December 24, 2025, until further notice to protect teachers, staff and students.

The measure aims to ensure the safety of all teachers, education staff and students and protect them from danger caused by Thai military bombing in Banan district, Battambang province.
The Battambang Provincial Department of Education, Youth and Sport has decided to allow all educational institutions in Banan district to temporarily suspend teaching and learning from December 24, 2025, until further notice.
