It called for continued development of the justice system, better trial efficiency and case quality, and strict lawful action against priority offences such as telecom scams to protect social fairness, justice and public order.\n\nThe meeting said the new year would bring strict implementation of the Justice Ministry's priority action plans, stronger examination and handling of major cases, and a focus on drug crime, traffic offences, delinquent-youth issues and household registration. Telecom scams using information technology were a particular priority, with strict and rapid trials according to law to provide a strong judicial deterrent.\nThe court would also accelerate criminal and civil cases, improve case management and trial procedures, and appropriately use mediation and other dispute-resolution mechanisms where permitted by law.
