Specialist forces from the National Police General Commissariat launched a large-scale operation against an online-scam site in Bavet on the morning of January 31, 2026.
The operation followed orders from General Sar Thet, the Commissioner General of the National Police, and guidance from Deputy Commissioners Lieutenant General Chiv Phally and Lieutenant General Muong Sothea, with coordination by a prosecutor attached to Svay Rieng Provincial Court of First Instance.
