The Immigration Department said the returnees came from 14 countries and regions and faced various immigration, employment, scam and gambling violations.

Cambodia’s General Department of Immigration said 1,089 foreigners from 14 countries and regions, including China, Malaysia, India and Vietnam, were deported over the three days from Saturday to Monday. The reported violations included illegal entry, online scams, unlawful online gambling, residence without passports and unlawful employment. Most departed through Techo International Airport.
The department said the operation reflected continued action against telecom and online fraud and related cross-border offences. It pledged legal action against organisers and controllers without leniency. Authorities were also identifying and assisting victims deceived into scam work, providing accommodation and protection.
