CMAC said the machines were jointly developed with Japan’s IOS and would help clear explosive remnants of war and mines.

The Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) welcomed the arrival of demining robots in Cambodia, saying the technology had been jointly researched and developed by CMAC and the Japanese company IOS.
CMAC said the four machines would be deployed on the front line to help release land affected by mines and explosive remnants of what it described as Thai aggression, and to protect residents’ safety. Writer: Pai Sokhim.
