Under Mang Sineth’s direction, the provincial water-resources department reported clearing silt and rubbish along 600 metres of two waterways in communes 3 and 4 to improve rainy-season drainage.

Preah Sihanouk Governor Mang Sineth directed provincial Water Resources and Meteorology Department director Heng Sophanrith to deploy machinery to remove accumulated soil and rubbish from Ou Prek Tob and Ou Samat waterways in Sihanoukville’s communes 3 and 4. The report says a total of 600 metres had been cleared to improve water flow, reduce blockages and help prevent rain-related flooding during the forthcoming rainy season. By Pai Sokhim.
