The governor attended an April 6 legal briefing by Zoom and pledged to combine public legal education with enforcement in implementing the commission’s directions.

On the morning of April 6, Preah Sihanouk Governor Mang Sineth joined a briefing on anti-scam legislation by Zoom. The report says it was chaired by Chhay Sinarith, identified as standing vice-chair and secretary-general of the national anti-scam commission, and covered the legal framework and enforcement guidelines to improve authorities’ ability to identify and address cross-border technology crime.

The report says the meeting explained anti-scam measures and local authorities’ responsibilities in prevention, oversight and enforcement, aiming to improve administrative effectiveness, strengthen prevention and put action into practice.

Mang Sineth said the province, as a priority enforcement area, would follow the commission’s directions, combine legal education with enforcement and strengthen measures against technology crime to support public safety and a stable investment environment.
