He expressed hope that the border issue could be resolved soon so that people on both sides could live in peace.\nHun Manet described the border issue as having continued for nearly a year and expressed hope that a solution would be found in the near future.\nHe further said the Thai government had also proposed using these mechanisms to address its border issue with Cambodia and, as of his remarks, had not announced the rejection of any agreement with Cambodia.\nHun Manet also expressed hope that the Thai government would put in place a properly constituted Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) leadership team to meet the Cambodian side and resolve the border dispute in accordance with bilateral agreements.
