Hun Manet said the former Phnom Penh International Airport at Pochentong would not be sold to any private company. It would remain state property for use as a reserve airport and a public space for recreation and sports.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet reiterated: “In accordance with the principles I previously explained to the public:
1. Phnom Penh International Airport (Pochentong) will not be sold to any private company.
2. It will remain state property and serve two purposes: first, as a reserve airport; and second, as a public space for recreation and sports.”
