The reported detainees comprise one Lao woman, two Malaysian men and two Chinese men; another man allegedly linked to recruitment remains sought.

According to the report, the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Court of First Instance issued information on May 7 about an operation on April 25 at a rented house in the Ream area of Prey Nob district, concerning suspected organised online scams.
The report said five suspects were detained: one Lao woman, two Malaysian men and two Chinese men. Six all-in-one computers and twenty-two phones were seized. A judge reportedly ordered the five held in pretrial detention. Detention and the seized items do not amount to a finding of guilt.
The report also said authorities were still seeking a Chinese man identified in the original article as “赖才（LAI CAI）”, allegedly involved in unlawfully recruiting online-scam personnel at JC casino. The investigation was continuing.
