Tourism, waterway-traffic and health officers patrolled beaches on 28 June 2026, advised visitors and prepared for emergencies as rain and large waves posed risks.

Preah Sihanouk: under the provincial police commissioner’s guidance, authorities sought to maintain safety, security and public order for residents and domestic and international visitors, as rainy-season downpours and large waves could endanger travellers and swimmers.

On the afternoon of 28 June 2026, tourism police, waterway traffic police and the health office jointly patrolled beaches and major tourist sites to assess safety, advise visitors and prepare to respond immediately to emergencies.

Authorities urged residents and tourists to exercise particular caution when swimming in the sea, taking leisure boat trips or undertaking other beach activities, to follow official guidance and cooperate in maintaining public order and shared safety.

The report described regular patrols and standby personnel as showing the authorities’ attention to creating a safe, welcoming and reassuring tourism environment for visitors to the coastal province.
