柬埔寨首相洪玛奈表示，多家私人公司有意竞标经营金边公共巴士服务，但他拒绝了有关提议，担忧私人公司为获取利润而提高票价，加重市民和学生的负担。他还担心，当政府有必要为市民和学生提供免费乘车服务时，私人公司未必能够做到，因此一些公共服务应由政府管理。洪玛奈于2026年5月21日星期四上午在税务总局新总部大楼启用仪式上作出上述表述。
