Phnom Penh — At an electric vehicle handover ceremony on the afternoon of November 18, 2025, the Ministry of Commerce praised and thanked Cambodian Lightning Riding for its investment commitment to promoting Cambodia's green transport system. The ministry said private-sector participation gives the country more economical, efficient and environmentally friendly transport options in line with the government's sustainable development policy.
A ministry representative said Cambodia is developing rapidly and demand for a transport ecosystem is increasing. The newly received electric vehicles were described as a new “green link” that would help improve people's quality of life and reduce environmental pollution in the national transport sector.
Danny Zhou, general manager of Cambodian Lightning Riding, said the Ministry of Commerce is an important partner in promoting green transport services and improving commerce. He said all the electric vehicles delivered to the ministry had undergone rigorous testing, were suited to local conditions, offered high safety standards and provided an economical, environmentally friendly transport option.
Danny Zhou added that the company would continue following the principles of “innovation, responsibility and win-win cooperation” to support green development in Cambodia and the region.
