Thai immigration police recently raided an apartment in Pattaya and arrested five Indian men suspected of involvement in online gambling operations. Police said the suspects had been living locally for a long time and mainly provided technical support and back-office assistance to online gambling platforms based in India.
Officers said the group used Thailand as an operational base to evade local oversight and maintain overseas platforms. After being taken in for questioning, however, all five suspects claimed they worked only in customer service and denied direct involvement in operating gambling systems.
Police are verifying further evidence to establish the suspects' actual roles and investigate the cross-border criminal network behind them.
