Ly Yong Phat, chairman of the Cambodia Oknha Association, issued a formal statement strongly denying Thai media allegations linking him to cybercrime, money laundering and human rights abuses. He described the allegations as baseless, malicious fabrications that had seriously damaged his reputation. Responding to claims by Thai media that his assets in Thailand had been frozen three times, he said he had no Thai bank accounts and had never appeared on any asset-freeze list. He called the reported amounts and enforcement actions fabricated. According to his statement, Thai law enforcement officers carried out routine checks at two residences and one office property on November 9 and found no signs of unlawful activity. He said the properties shown in footage circulating online were not his, and also denied claims that he owned 36 properties. He said some of his properties had been legally leased to tenants conducting lawful business and that all leases complied with the law. He said he would defend his legitimate rights, reserved the right to take legal action, and urged the public not to be misled by false information. Compiled by this station
