Cambodia’s tourism authorities recently organised a visit to Siem Reap for Chinese content creators. Through livestreams and short videos, the group showcased local culture and tourism resources to the Chinese market, aiming to raise Cambodia’s visibility on Chinese social platforms. Over several days, the creators began with sunrise at Angkor Wat and explored major Angkor heritage sites, traditional communities and floating villages. They also experienced local food, handicrafts and cultural performances and stayed in high-end hotels to show Chinese audiences the range and quality of tourism services. The tourism authorities said the initiative aimed to convey an open, safe and culturally rich image of Cambodia through the creators’ personal and approachable sharing. Participants highlighted the friendly atmosphere and distinctive experiences in livestreams, encouraging more Chinese travellers to visit and experience the combination of ancient heritage and modern vitality.
