November 28, 2025 marks the seventh anniversary of Lkhon Khol’s inscription on UNESCO’s list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The report says the inscription helped raise Cambodia’s international profile and make it a more prominent participant in the world heritage arena. Prime Minister Hun Manet, senior leaders and many relevant ministries and institutions issued congratulatory messages for the seventh anniversary. Lkhon Khol is an ancient Cambodian art form which UNESCO decided to inscribe on its intangible cultural heritage list during the thirteenth meeting in Port Louis, Mauritius, on November 28, 2018.
