On the morning of December 1, Huione announced that a large number of users had recently sought withdrawals within a short period, placing substantial pressure on the platform. It said it was launching a Deferred Payout Plan with phased payments to safeguard funds and keep the payout process manageable. Huione also announced that all its physical outlets would suspend operations immediately, with service expected to resume on January 5, 2026.
Following the announcement, many users, concerned about the funds in their accounts, went to outlets and the headquarters to ask for information. No staff members appeared at the sites apart from a few Cambodian security guards. Faced with repeated questions, the guards pointed to the notices posted at the entrance and said they had no further information.
