Cambodia recorded more than 5.7 million air passengers in the first 10 months of 2025, up 14% from 5 million in the same period of 2024. The figures were reported in Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet’s message marking the first National Civil Aviation Day, published on December 5, 2025. The message linked the 14% passenger growth to the 35 domestic and foreign airlines connecting Cambodia with 16 countries and 39 cities during the first 10 months of 2025. Connections included eight ASEAN countries, China, South Korea, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Taiwan, India, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Japan. Hun Manet said civil aviation also supported social and cultural growth, with increased air connectivity encouraging cultural exchanges and contacts with countries around the world. The first National Civil Aviation Day was scheduled for December 7, 2025, under the theme: “Civil aviation plays an important role in promoting sustainable economic, tourism, social and cultural development in the Kingdom of Cambodia.” Preah Sihanouk Provincial Television.
