(Japan) More than 1,000 Cambodian community members, workers and students living, working and studying in Japan reportedly gathered at six locations on December 14, 2025, to condemn Thai military actions against Cambodians in the strongest terms. They described the actions as inhumane, brutal and savage, accusing Thai forces of indiscriminate attacks and using weapons of all kinds to violate Cambodian sovereignty.
The six gathering sites comprised two in Tokyo, plus Osaka, Aichi, Hiroshima and Fukuoka prefectures. Petitions were also submitted to the US and Malaysian embassies in Japan and Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, calling for condemnation of Thai military violations and urgent, firm measures to pressure Thailand to halt its aggressive actions.
The report noted that Cambodians in Japan had also rallied at two sites, in Tokyo and Osaka, on December 10, 2025, to condemn what they described as Thailand’s fierce attacks and violations of Cambodian sovereign territory.
