On December 17, 2025, Dr Pich Chanmony Hun Manet said: “To strengthen the spirit and strength of Khmers helping Khmers, I have arranged for all branches of the Cambodian Girl Guides to mobilise members to begin growing vegetables at their schools or on community land, to supply troops and provide some assistance to people displaced by the fighting.” Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, chief commissioner of the Cambodian Girl Guides Association, mobilised members to grow vegetables and donate the harvest to Cambodian troops fighting to defend the country against the invading Thai enemy and to people displaced by the war and Thai military incursions on Cambodian territorial integrity. She continued: “Please grow vegetables that can be harvested quickly. Start small, but I want schoolchildren to take part alongside our troops in this difficult time.” As the home front, we should grow vegetables and various fruit crops together at homes, schools, monasteries and community sites, pooling as much produce as possible to continue sharing with the front line.
