(Preah Sihanouk) On the evening of December 29, 2025, monks from seven temples cooperated with the Preah Sihanouk provincial administration to hold prayers for happiness and peace in Cambodia at Wat Krom, presided over by provincial Governor Mang Sineth. The ceremony aimed to demonstrate solidarity between the people and the Royal Government in resolving disputes peacefully, without military force, weapons or violence. It also sent a message to the international community that Cambodia chooses peaceful solutions under all circumstances. It further sought to inspire all generations of Cambodians, now and in the future, to understand clearly the “value of peace” and jointly promote a “culture of peace” in Cambodia. In particular, it encouraged their participation in firmly protecting and preserving peace as the nation’s lifeblood and the most valuable foundation for national development and the Cambodian people’s lasting and increasing well-being. The ceremony coincided with Cambodia’s commemoration of the 27th anniversary of Peace Day, responding to the Cambodian people’s profound aspiration to love peace and reject war.
