Cambodia again proposes special land-boundary JBC meeting in Siem Reap this January
Cambodia’s border affairs secretariat says a January 5 diplomatic note again proposed a special Cambodia–Thailand JBC meeting in Siem Reap in the second or third week of January.

The State Secretariat of Border Affairs said Cambodia had again proposed to Thailand, through a diplomatic note dated January 5, 2026, that a special meeting of the Thailand–Cambodia Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) on the land boundary be held.
Under the proposal, the special JBC meeting would take place in Siem Reap province in the second or third week of January 2026.
