The Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Department under Cambodia’s General Commissariat of National Police recently conducted a raid on a food-service establishment suspected of secretly providing sexual services. The alleged conduct was described as a serious violation of the law. According to a police notice, officers inspected the K & K restaurant on Street 257 in Boeung Salang sangkat, Tuol Kork district, Phnom Penh, at about 11 p.m. on January 10, 2026. Police said their investigation found that, while ostensibly operating as a restaurant, the premises were covertly involved in illegal activities related to prostitution and were suspected of providing cover for unlawful conduct. Law-enforcement authorities have taken corresponding measures against the premises in accordance with the law, and the case remains under further investigation. Police said they would continue intensifying action against illegal sexual activities and human trafficking, hold those responsible legally accountable and safeguard public order and safety. ..
