Hun Sen recently decided to continue tuition support for undergraduates previously funded by the Chen Zhi scholarship so they can complete their studies. The support covers tuition only, excluding living allowances, and was coordinated after the scholarship administrator formally terminated its previous funding arrangements.
Education, Youth and Sport Ministry figures show that 418 students, including 128 women, will receive continued support: 161 at the Royal University of Phnom Penh studying IT engineering, informatics, international business management, and media and communications; 25 at the National University of Management studying digital economy and tourism; and 232 at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia studying civil engineering.
The beneficiaries said Hun Sen’s timely support eased their tuition burden and strengthened their confidence in completing their studies. They said they would cherish the opportunity, improve their professional skills and contribute through their actions to society and national development.
