The Department of Conservation of Monuments and Archaeology of the APSARA National Authority is repairing a severely rotten and deteriorated wooden bridge at Beng Mealea temple. The authority said the pedestrian-bridge repairs would help improve the temple area's visitor circuit and prevent risks to visitors walking within the complex. The bridge is 250 metres long, with 189 metres being repaired in this first phase. Department technical officer Puth Soth said the repair work had begun from the south towards the north, the main entrance, and was now 60 percent complete. The project began in October 2025 and was scheduled to finish at the end of March 2026. By: Nget Pisant
