Preah Sihanouk province plans a running event from February 22 to 26, 2026, with up to 5,000 participants. Two major accompanying events will feature cultural activities and an exhibition. The relevant departments called for broad public participation to promote provincial tourism, tourism department director Tang Socheat Krisna said on February 19. Tang Socheat Krisna said the event had three main priorities: increasing entertainment attractions to encourage longer visitor stays and create work and income for residents; promoting cultural values and local products; and publicising Preah Sihanouk's tourism potential. The provincial tourism director urged private businesses, relevant institutions and residents to support and visit the event to strengthen the province's appeal and competitiveness. He also asked residents, traders and tourists to bag and place rubbish correctly, helping maintain an attractive, safe and hygienic tourism destination. By Nget Pisant
