Checks focused on sound vessel structure and functioning engines, sufficient life jackets and emergency equipment for passenger numbers, preventing dangerous overloading and improving confidence among domestic and international visitors travelling in Preah Sihanouk and to its islands.
The authorities called on all vessel operators to comply strictly with waterway traffic laws, helping reduce accidents and further develop provincial tourism. By: Pai Sokhim.
