According to Cambodia’s national television broadcaster TVK on February 26, Prime Minister Hun Manet gave AFP an exclusive interview in Belgium on February 25, the final day of his European visit, discussing the Cambodia–Thailand border and action against online scams. TVK said AFP produced separate reports on what Cambodia described as Thai aggression and efforts toward a peaceful, law-based resolution, and on online-scam enforcement, which media worldwide republished. On the border dispute, Hun Manet had previously told Reuters and Fox News that Thai forces had occupied areas deep within Cambodian territory, beyond even Thailand’s unilaterally drawn maps that lacked international recognition. He said this was not an accusation but a reality on the ground. Cambodia’s Foreign Ministry said Cambodia lost at least 14 positions in four provinces during the 21-day war in December 2025.
