On March 8, Phnom Penh’s Pur Senchey district authorities joined the Mines and Energy Department, Commerce Department and Consumer Protection, Competition and Fraud Repression Directorate-General to inspect a Peace fuel station on Russian Federation Boulevard in Kakab 1. Officers said the station did not display prices as required and charged more than 6,000 riels per litre, in breach of the Commerce Ministry’s latest retail fuel-price rules. Authorities imposed an on-site fine of four million riels and required the operator to sign a corrective undertaking, ordering immediate compliance with relevant law and technical rules to ensure lawful operation.
