According to the Tourism Ministry’s March 17 notice, a Cambodia–China International Street Arts Festival was planned for March 21–22 in Siem Reap’s Pub Street area, starting at 6 p.m. each evening and open to the public free of charge. The report says the ministry, Siem Reap provincial administration, Chinese embassy and relevant institutions and businesses were organising Cambodian and Chinese street performances and an arts parade to enliven night-time tourism. The event was presented as part of Cambodia–China Tourism Year promotion, alongside a pilot visa waiver scheduled for June 15 to October 15, 2026. The announced scheme covered Chinese nationals holding PRC passports, including Hong Kong and Macao SAR passports, with multiple entries and stays of up to 14 days per entry. Travellers were required to complete an E-Arrival Card, without applying for a visa in advance or paying visa fees. The ministry called on businesses, associations, media and content creators to promote Cambodia to Chinese visitors.
