Lim Saman, a pharmacist and Director of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Health Department, says all service prices are publicly displayed at hospitals and health centres to promote transparency and good governance and prevent informal payments. At the March 26 closing of the conference reviewing the province’s 2025 health work and setting directions for 2026, she said the department had also introduced the PMRS digital management system to track income, expenditure and service use effectively and promptly. She explained that improving service quality at the local level actively helped protect people’s household finances. She said the achievements reduced healthcare and travel costs and contributed to poverty reduction and better well-being in Preah Sihanouk, in line with the government’s social protection strategy.
