On the morning of March 31, Wang Wenbin paid a courtesy call on Khuon Sudary in Phnom Penh and extended early Khmer New Year greetings. He praised her long-standing contribution to China–Cambodia relations and said China would continue firmly supporting Cambodia’s development. Wang said the two countries’ “ironclad friendship” was reflected not only in political trust but also in practical cooperation. China would continue providing development support, including advancing key joint projects such as the Funan Techo Canal, and deepen infrastructure cooperation. On the Cambodia–Thailand border issue, he advocated resolving differences through dialogue and consultation and restoring normality as soon as possible. Khuon Sudary said the friendship could be relied on in all circumstances and that Cambodia’s recent development could not be separated from China’s long-standing support. She hoped China would continue contributing to world peace, improving the international order and promoting multilateralism, while providing more assistance to developing countries including Cambodia.
