Officers reportedly fired three shots during a traffic incident on the morning of April 6, 2026, in អំពិលជួរ village, តាអុង commune, ចំការលើ district. The vehicle had allegedly hit two others and tried to leave the scene and evade police. Kampong Cham Police Commissioner Major General ហេង វុទ្ធី said the black Toyota Alphard, with black film on its windows, had been driven erratically and struck two vehicles at that location. He said the driver refused to stop, injured two officers during the attempted interception, and also hit one police vehicle and three motorcycles. Police said officers fired three shots at the tyres to protect themselves and prevent harm to others, then detained the driver. At the time of reporting, the 32-year-old Cambodian suspect ប៉ុល ពោធិចា had been taken to the ចំការលើ district police inspectorate for further questioning. Written by: ង៉ែត ពិសាន្ត
