Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet marked National Malaria Day in a written message highlighting the theme, “Driven to End Malaria: Now We Can. Now We Must.” He said it reflected a shared determination to eliminate malaria throughout Cambodia, contribute to regional and global goals, and encourage national and international stakeholders to maintain responsible, sustained cooperation.
He said the theme of National Malaria Day on April 25, 2026, and Cambodia’s progress showed that malaria elimination was achievable through joint efforts by individuals, families and communities at every level, together with national and international partners.
He also urged people to protect themselves from mosquito bites and promptly seek consultation and testing at the nearest health facility if they suspected malaria after staying in an at-risk area. Ending malaria, he said, should be a shared goal to protect individuals and families and improve social and economic well-being. By ឡាយ កុល
