According to Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP) on May 19, the Council for the Development of Cambodia held its fifth One-Window Service meeting of 2026 that day to review applications to register seven qualified investment projects (QIPs), with a combined proposed investment of about US$450 million. Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board, chaired the meeting, attended by representatives of relevant ministries, institutions and provincial administrations. The proposed projects are located in Kampong Speu, Stung Treng and Pursat provinces and are expected to create around 900 jobs. Reviewing the applications does not mean that the projects have received final approval or begun operating. Two industrial investments involve a washing, dyeing and printing factory, and the construction of a treatment tank and boiler facilities. One agro-industrial investment is an edible-oil refinery intended to process rice bran oil, soybean oil, corn oil and olive oil. Four energy and infrastructure investments involve solar power stations with capacities of 200 MW, 100 MW and 30 MW, and an energy storage system with a power capacity of 500 MW. The investment amounts, job forecasts and energy capacities are proposed figures disclosed in connection with the meeting, rather than completed investment, recruitment or power generation. The industrial and agricultural images below are illustrative and do not show these specific projects.
