New Mondulkiri gendarmerie commander vows firm action against online scams
Nearly a month into his post, the provincial commander instructed cooperation against online scams during June 20 unit visits and stressed discipline, ethics, public service and equipment checks.

Mondulkiri: Nearly a month after taking office, Brigadier General ទាវ ចាន់ដារ៉ា, Commander of the Mondulkiri Provincial Gendarmerie, issued strict orders for all forces to cooperate actively to prevent and eliminate online scams. He stressed that this northeastern region must not become a haven for offenders.
The order was issued on June 20, 2026, during his visits to review the work of gendarmerie officers in the province’s districts, municipality and stations.
Combating technology-related crime and all forms of online fraud is a principal objective that must be implemented to ensure public safety, uphold the unit’s reputation and protect residents’ interests.
He thanked and praised personnel for their efforts in carrying out their duties and urged all officers to continue strengthening discipline, ethics and conduct in public service.
Health, hygiene and checks of technical equipment must be maintained regularly to ensure operations proceed smoothly without disruption.
