Hun Sen says Education Ministry retirees have their own association, outside veterans’ association coverage

At a gathering with provincial, municipal, district and khan councils in Kratie province on the morning of July 6, 2026, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of Cambodia’s Senate and president of the Cambodian association of veterans and retirees, said retired civil servants from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport were not covered by that association. Hun Sen explained that the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport had established an association for its officials and retirees before the Cambodian association of veterans and retirees was created. Each association therefore continues to carry out its own role and duties in accordance with the objectives and arrangements of its respective institution. By: Pai Sokhim
