អ៊ុក ឃ្នួច, Vice-President of the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM), representing Senior Minister Kun Kim, First Vice-President of the NCDM, led a meeting to assess impacts on wet-season rice crops and inspected conditions on the ground in Battambang province.
During the visit, he inspected the irrigation system in រូងជ្រៃ commune, ថ្មគោល district, to assess water supplies for agriculture. He also inspected current water conditions at the ភាស reservoir in តាពូង commune, focusing on management and preparedness for timely responses to potential impacts on farmers’ rice crops.
The meeting and inspections were attended by គង់ គា, Director of the Rice Department of the General Directorate of Agriculture, leaders of relevant provincial departments and units, and local authorities. They jointly assessed conditions and coordinated water resource management measures and effective support for farmers, with the aim of reducing impacts on wet-season rice production.
