Banteay Meanchey: On August 2, 2026, H.E. Kitti Sangahapundit Kun Kim, Senior Minister and First Vice President of the National Committee for Disaster Management, visited displaced residents in Rong Cham village, Slakram commune, Svay Chek district, Banteay Meanchey province, to check on their living conditions and crop cultivation.
Kun Kim praised the displaced residents for organising their daily lives, maintaining their homes and growing a variety of crops around their houses, including cassava, maize, long beans and other crops.
Kun Kim said these crops would provide produce for the displaced residents both to sell for their livelihoods and to eat in their daily lives.
He also conveyed greetings from Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, who consistently advise officials to visit and regularly monitor the circumstances of displaced residents.
