West Mebon Temple Set for Official Inauguration in November, Focusing on Conservation and Heritage Value

On the morning of October 15, 2026, His Excellency Dr. Hang Peou, Director General of the APSARA National Authority, led a team of specialists to the West Mebon temple site to review the progress of work and to arrange the landscaping around the temple, ensuring a beautiful appearance and good order in preparation for the official inauguration ceremony to be held in November 2026. The purpose of this inspection is to ensure that the arrangement of the site and the surrounding environment of the temple is appropriate and well prepared for the official inauguration ceremony, as well as to demonstrate the attention of APSARA National Authority to conserving, maintaining, and enhancing the value of ancient temples, which are valuable cultural heritage properties of the nation.
