90 Chinese nationals deported from Cambodia over online scams and other crimes
On October 15, 2026, the Department of Investigation and Procedural Implementation, in coordination with the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, deported a total of 90 Chinese nationals (including 3 women) involved in illegal residency, illegal employment, illegal border crossing and online scams from Cambodia via a special flight from the police post at the Techo International Airport. It should be noted that this operation to deport illegal foreigners is the strict implementation of the orders and legal measures of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, who previously clearly stated his position: "Cambodia will not allow criminals or lawbreakers to use Cambodian territory as a base to carry out scams or commit crimes that threaten regional and global security.
