The beach draws its name from the historic Independence Hotel that sits atop that headland at the northeast called “otel pram-pul chann” (7-storeys hotel) by the locals and one of the remaining hotels since the colonial period. The beach stretching over a kilometre long and offers BBQ huts, restaurants and bars together on the clean white sandy beach. It’s nice for family beach to escape from the crowds of ochheuteal beach.
