Attention, movie lovers! The 15th Chaktomuk Short Film Festival will be held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from October 30 to November 2, over four days, with 90 short films from 33 countries worldwide set to screen for audiences.
According to the organizers, this year’s festival features 40 Cambodian short films and 50 international entries. Filmmakers from different countries will use their lenses to present their own stories, cultures and creativity, giving audiences a diverse range of cinematic expression.
The festival will take place at multiple cinemas and cultural venues across Phnom Penh, including Legend Cinemas Olympia, providing film lovers with opportunities to watch local and international short films.
The Chaktomuk Short Film Festival is one of Cambodia’s earlier platforms focused on short-film production and exhibition. Organized by the Sunflower Film Organization and a related team, it will mark its 15th edition this year.
Beyond offering audiences a wide range of films, the festival aims to provide a platform for young Cambodian filmmakers to showcase their talents, encourage youth participation in film and television production, advance the development of the local film industry, and promote cultural exchanges between Cambodia and the international film community.
